Welcome to the Continuing Medical Education section of the Lexington Clinic. We are a multispecialty practice in Lexington, KY which has been providing continuous medical service since 1920. In 2006 Lexington Clinic was accredited by the Kentucky Medical Association to provide CME credits. The Section of Education is guided by the CME Committee chaired by W. Ben Kibler, M.D., assisted by representative physicians from various specialties and sections.
The purpose of the Continuing Medical Education section is to develop and provide high quality educational activities and programs. The purpose of these programs is to assist the physicians to maintain their skills, develop new areas of competence and to keep their medical knowledge current. Lexington Clinic develops CME events based on an ongoing needs assessment of its own members, literature searches and information from colleagues and the community. CME events are open to all physicians in the area.
This series of “boutique” radiology workshops is designed especially for the radiologist in community radiology practice. A workshop is an interactive format of learning with hands on experience. The workshop format is ideal for the attendees to interact freely with the faculty and get answers to questions that they have always wanted to ask. The emphasis is on free communication and learning though problem solving. To provide ample time, each workshop is limited to 10 attendees. Approximately 70% of the time will be spent interpreting selected cases of increasing complexity with feedback for hands-on learning.
